CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

The powder contains at least 99.8% by weight of CuO and Сu2O oxide phases. The content of other elements is below 0.05% by weight.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Black powder. Average particle size is 50-80 nanometers. Packed density of approx. 2.2 g/cm3. Single particles form microagglomerates. The specific surface measured by the BET method is 15-20 m2/g. Odour-free. Copper oxide powder is applied in materials science.

DANGER

Not dangerous.

HEALTH HAZARD

The powder is not health hazardous. However, when inhaled in large quantities it can cause respiratory apparatus irritation like a common dust. Hygiene and sanitary regulations must be observed. In case of skin staining, wash the skin with conventional cleansing agents.

SAFE HANDLING

Standard hygiene and sanitary regulations must be observed.

SAMPLE OF THE CERTIFICATE

This document has been drawn up by ADVANCED POWDER TECHNOLOGIES LLC in agreement to ТU 791-003-36280340-2008.

PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION

IDENTIFICATION LABEL: trade name : IRON OXIDE NANOPOWDER; chemical name: iron oxide powder (II, III); chemical formula: Fe3O4. This nanopowder is produced using electric explosion of metallic wire in air.

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

Material: iron oxide - not less 99%, adsorbed gases - 1%. The balance is adsorbed gases as follows CH4, CO2, Ar, N2. Chemical composition of a source wire is as follows: Mn: 0.78-0.82 %; Cr: <0.1 %; Ni: 0.08-0.098 %; Si: 0.66-0.82 %; Cu: 0.081-0.082 %; V: <0.05 %; Mo: <0.01 %; W: <0.1 % mass.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Appearance and color: brown powder. Average particle size is 80-110 nanometers. Particles readily form microagglomerates. The bulk density is 2.2 g/cm3. BET specific surface area ~30 m2/g . Melting point - 1550°С. No smell. Iron oxide powder (II, III) can be used in making magnetic storage devices.

DANGER

Safe.

HEALTH HAZARD

Iron oxide powder is a nuisance dust that may irritate the respiratory organs as the usual dust. SAFE HANDLING Follow common and standard health-protection rules.

Aluminium oxide-hydroxide nanopowder (Al2O3)

SAMPLE OF THE CERTIFICATE

This document has been drawn up by ADVANCED POWDER TECHNOLOGIES LLC in agreement to ТU 791-003-36280340-2008.

PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION

Identification label: trade name: ALUMINUM OXIDE-HYDROXIDE NANOPOWDER; chemical formulas of constituent phases : А1, АLО3, А1ООН, А1(ОН)3.. This material is available in two versions such as : (1) IPC - with basic constituent ALOOH and (2) DTC - with basic constituent γ-Al2O3.

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

IPC material: aluminum hydroxides AlOOH - 55% wt., Al(OH)3 - 33% wt., alumina А12О3 - 5% wt, metallic aluminum Al - not more 5% wt., absorbed water - about 2%. DTC material: alumina А12О3 - not less than 95% wt, the balance is Al(OH)3.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Appearance and color: white powder of fibrous structure. BET specific area is 350 m2/g. Electrokinetic potential of IPC material extends to -200 mV and this is evidence in favor of electrically charged groups sitting on the surfaces of nanofibers. . The bulk density of IPC material is about 0.7 g/cm3, of DTC material - 0.6 g/cm3. Both materials are highly hygroscopic. To avoid degradation of the material properties, do not expose it to humidity. Being heated to 400-500°С the IPC version is converted to γ-Al2O3 but its fibrous structure is retained in the C, the powder transforms toprocess (DTC version). At higher temperature 1000 α-Al2O3 thus forming coarse cakes. Fibrous structure is not retained. Melting temperature is 2000°С. Both explosion and fire safe. Aluminum oxide-hydroxide powder can find its application in making adsorbents for water purification from both industrial and microbiological contaminations, dental cements and materials sciences as a filler for polymers matrixes.

HEALTH HAZARD

When spilled in mass quantities and inhaled , aluminum hydroxide may irritate respiratory tract and cause general toxic effect. This material is soluble in stomach acid. No delayed action effect is known.

SAFE HANDLING

Use health protection measures commonly used in working with inorganic dust. Wear respirators.
